Dr. Louis DeLuke, DMD

Dr. DeLuke grew up in upstate New York in the Albany area. As a third-generation dentist, he vividly remembers running around his grandfather’s (and now father’s) dental practice at a very young age, always interested in what he was doing. It was during this time that he found his passion for dentistry and decided to follow in his family’s footsteps.

Dr. DeLuke graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. He was an active member of the Tufts community, volunteering in several community outreach programs. In his fourth year, he participated in a two-week mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where he and his team provided comprehensive oral health care to hundreds of patients. After graduating from Tufts, he was accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he greatly expanded his knowledge and enhanced his clinical skills in all aspects of General Dentistry.

For the next three years, he practiced as a General Dentist in the Boston area. Although he loved providing comprehensive care to his patients, he made the decision to focus on his true passion, which is Endodontics. He returned to Boston University, where he completed his specialty training and received his certificate in Endodontics. He currently serves on two AAE committees, the Resident and New Practitioner Committee (RNPC) and the Resident Expert Advisory Council (REACH), where he enjoys advocating for the specialty and networking with dentists from around the country. After practicing endodontics in New Hampshire for the last two years, Dr. DeLuke is excited to start a new chapter serving the greater Portland community.

In his free time, he enjoys running, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife, Camila.

He considers himself a very caring individual who goes above and beyond to ensure his patients have a comfortable experience. At the same time, he prides himself on practicing with the highest ethical standards and providing excellent quality of care.

Gentlewave Technology

GentleWave technology presents a breakthrough alternative to standard root canal treatment. A GentleWave procedure delivers a vortex of fluids through the tooth, cleaning debris and thoroughly disinfecting the canal and canal walls. In most cases, a GentleWave procedure can be completed in just one session and there's less chance of failure over time. Many patients describe the experience as comfortable. More info can be found at GentleWave.com.

Please expect a bill post-treatment for any difference and feel free to reach out with any questions. More information is available in our Financial Policy.
